Natalia Vesta Lansing, 23, is charged following an April 26, 2026 incident near the pond at Tiger Park, 1301 Old Spanish Trail, where police responded to a report of a gunshot and reported finding a group gathered around a campsite with a burning fire, tents, and alcohol containers, according to court records.
The charges are allegations based on court records, and Lansing is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
Court records did not indicate whether Lansing has retained legal counsel, and she could not be reached for comment.
The incident description is based solely on a criminal complaint and affidavit filed by law enforcement.
According to an affidavit, Aztec police were dispatched at approximately 8:41 a.m. after a caller reported hearing a gunshot south of the pond. When officers arrived, they followed a dirt road to a campsite area where a group of juveniles and young adults had gathered overnight.
Investigators reported observing what they described as a camp setup that included chairs around a fire, a tent, coolers, and scattered trash, along with multiple vehicles parked in a half-circle formation.
Police reported locating a .22 caliber rifle leaning against a vehicle near the campsite.
According to police, an individual at the scene admitted to firing the rifle sometime during the night, stating it was done to signal a friend who had wandered into nearby hills.
Officers reported that several individuals at the campsite appeared to be under the age of 21.
Police reported observing alcohol containers, including Twisted Tea cans and a bottle of vodka, at the scene, according to the affidavit.
According to investigators, Lansing was believed to be the only person present of legal age to purchase alcohol. Investigators allege Lansing admitted to bringing a quantity of alcoholic beverages to the campsite.
Police allege Lansing stated she brought approximately 12 Twisted Tea beverages and acknowledged they were shared among the group.
