Bloomfield Man Charged After Rifle Allegation, Phone Smashed at Trailer Park

A Bloomfield man has been charged after police say he allegedly pointed a rifle at a woman, forced her to the ground, and smashed her cellphone during a reported incident at a trailer park on North First Street, according to court records.

Andres Archuleta, 22, is accused of multiple offenses following the April 27, 2026 incident, according to an affidavit for arrest warrant. Court records list Archuleta as residing within the same trailer park. All charges against Archuleta are allegations based on court records, and he is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

According to the affidavit, officers with the Bloomfield Police Department were dispatched around 8:17 p.m. after a caller reported that a man had pointed a gun at her and fled the scene in a white car. Upon arrival, officers contacted a woman, whose name is listed in court records but is not being published by this outlet, who said she had gone to the residence to pick up belongings from Archuleta.

The woman told police that Archuleta allegedly exited the residence with a rifle, pushed her to the ground, and pointed the firearm at her, which she said placed her in fear of being shot. She also told officers that Archuleta allegedly broke her cellphone by smashing it on the ground. Officers observed the phone, described as a black iPhone, completely shattered, according to the affidavit.

Police documented injuries including lacerations to the woman’s hands and additional lacerations to her shoulder and elbow.

A witness in the trailer park told officers he saw a male allegedly push the woman to the ground before pointing a rifle at her, according to the affidavit. The witness also reported seeing the male leave in a white “lowrider” vehicle.

Investigators also contacted another individual at a nearby residence who reported broken glass scattered in the area and stated the male allegedly threw a glass item during the altercation that struck a vehicle. Officers noted damage including fresh paint chips on a 2021 Ford passenger car and damage to a 2015 Nissan passenger car, according to the affidavit.

Police attempted to speak with Archuleta’s father, who told officers he did not witness any crimes and was “trying to calm Andres down,” he told officers, according to the affidavit.
