Apartment Complex Incident Leads to False Imprisonment and Battery Charges in Farmington

A Farmington man has been accused of false imprisonment, battery against a household member and related offenses following a reported domestic incident at an apartment complex, according to an affidavit for arrest warrant filed in magistrate court. The affidavit describes events reported to police on March 11, 2026, in Farmington.

The document states a Farmington police officer was dispatched at approximately 9:05 p.m. to an apartment complex regarding a reported domestic violence incident.

Dispatch to Apartment Complex

According to the affidavit, an officer arrived at the apartment complex and contacted a neighbor who reported seeing a woman running toward him and asking for help. The neighbor told police the woman asked him to call 911 and said someone was chasing her.

The affidavit states the woman told police that her boyfriend, Bobby Lee, had battered her. Officers searched the area but did not initially make contact with the defendant, according to the report.

The officer wrote that a small bruise and broken skin were observed on the reporting party’s forearm.

The affidavit states the reporting party told police that when she attempted to retrieve another phone from a bedroom, the defendant pushed her from behind and she fell into a television.

She reported that the defendant took the phone and went downstairs, according to the affidavit.

According to the affidavit, the reporting party later showed officers a smartphone that appeared bent and would not power on. She estimated the phone’s value at approximately $150.

The affidavit states the reporting party told police she eventually left the apartment and asked a neighbor to call 911.
